We've been around since 1998. In Internet years that makes us virtually ancient. So why are we still around when so many hosting companies have either changed focus, been bought out, or failed? Simply put, because we're profitable and committed to our clients. From our humble beginnings in 1998, the company has remained privately-owned, and commercially-viable... and we plan to stay that way. .
In 1998, there weren't nearly as many hosting companies as there are now. They all used to pretty much do the same thing—give you a little space, a bit of bandwidth, and a few POP e-mail accounts... .what it came down to was so-so service for a pretty expensive price.
When we came on the scene, we realized that we didn't have the money to advertise like all the big boys did. So, our game plan was a little bit more of a 'guerilla' approach--Offer high end database hosting at exceptional prices. (And actually, that's where the concept of multiple domain hosting came from. We were the first in the industry to offer our clients cheaper pricing on multiple domains.)
Suffice it to say, we decided to worry about the back end and put money into our network architecture, hardware and software — and to let our resellers do the marketing for us.
And ladies and gentleman, we have a winner! Our clients were winners because they got exceptional hosting services. We were winners because we didn't have to sink as much money into the advertising budget. Our resellers were winners because they made money and grew; so did we.
That brings us to today, when our commitment to our customers remains the same: to help you make money. We're not going to throw a whole lot of empty promises at you (You know — "Tons of space!" "Unlimited bandwidth!" "Weight Loss Without Diet or Exercise!") We're more honest than that, and darn it, you're smarter than that. Something for nothing simply does not exist. Instead, we'll just keep on doing it the way we've done it from the beginning.
And we must be doing something right. Many of the customers who started with us back in '98 are still here today. A whopping 95% of customers renew with us, year after year. And it's getting better, every year.
